Mood-Altering Playlists, Part II

June 21, 2010

Okay, so what if you’re not feeling all pensive and thoughtful and like wearing your dream-catcher earrings?

What if you feel like you need the aural equivalent of a shot of espresso to help push you through some core strength movements that you know well and that STILL kick your ass?

Or maybe, if you’re a female and the red tide is about surge in and you feel like busting out the windows of your house in frustration?

This is how I roll when I’m in such a mood:

Lunatic Fringe / Red Rider

Heads Will Roll / Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Dirty Deeds / AC/DC

Project Party / Cuban Link featuring Sunkiss

Year Of That Boomerang / Rage Against The Machine

Back In The Saddle / Aerosmith

Time Bomb / Beck

Crazy Bitch / Buckcherry

The Rake Song / The Decemberists

No Retreat / Dilated Peoples featuring B Real

Longview / Green Day

The Tower / Ice-T

Four Kicks / Kings of Leon

Low / Marianas Trench

Ain’t No Friend Of Mine / Mason Jennings

Dirt Off Your Shoulder / Jay-Z

Kickstart My Heart / Motley Crue

Rearviewmirror / Pearl Jam

Go With The Flow / Queens of the Stone Age

My Name Is Jonas / Weezer

The Distance / Cake
